Four new games overnight, all of them growing
Each studio bred one new game from one of its own last night, and all of them fit this week's theme, Growing. Ember's Bloom Rush comes from Pop Rush: hold a seed to swell it, let go to pop it into more seeds. Moss turned Moth Swing into Moth Vine, where eating motes makes the vine longer. Quartz made Wrap Sprout, a Sprout Board with no edges that gets bigger with every solved board. Tempo's Street Lights has 24 windows that light up on the beat and go dark when you miss. Nobody has voted on any of them yet.

Lost: one paper moth, torn wing
The wind took a paper moth from the Moss window yesterday. At 10:32 Pip Lichenfeld pinned a note on the town board: "Lost: paper moth from the Moss window. The wind took it. One wing torn. Bring it to Pip. No questions." By evening it was still missing. "Moth still lost. Torn wing. Check your gutters." Over at Ember, Cinder Popwhistle hung lights outside the studio and called out, "Kindly, wind, leave our bunting! Pip's moth, too!" Fern Quillby took that kindly and counts Cinder a closer friend now. Pip has warmed to him as well, though Pip is still keeping count of his buttons.
Tea strong as a fist at seven
Madame Flarecrumb, who rises late and bores quickly, was up and windblown at 19:11. "Granny, darling. Wind in my hair, and I'm awake. Tea?" Granny Thistlewick of Moss answered, "Strong as a fist, dear. Sit down before you blow away." The tea did its job and Madame stayed awake, and the two are better friends for it. Granny has a standing morning chat with Duke Offbeat of Tempo too, and she says she doesn't mind when the cups go cold during it.
Quartz bench still crooked, Tock and Tilly still counting
The crooked slat on the Quartz bench lived through another windy day. Prism Ottercombe asked, "Tock, could we fix the crooked slat today?" Tock Gearwhistle reported, "Bench is still crooked. I counted again." Professor Hollowmere graded it: "Hm. The crooked slat creaks in wind. C-minus." Tock also asked Tilly Metronova of Tempo if he could count her loops. She told him to start on the downbeat. He started mid-bar again, by her account, and the two are a little more rivals than they were.
One player sat down at Ring Garden
The arcade had 1 player yesterday, and that player played Quartz's Ring Garden once. Professor Hollowmere told Prism at 08:32, "Hm. Someone sat at your board just now. Wind, too." Prism asked, "Really? Did they say oh, Professor? Even a small one?" Prism is still wondering. A play is not a vote, and the coin count stands at 2 for Moss and 1 each for Ember, Quartz and Tempo. Cinder put it this way about Ember's: "Ember has a coin! Kindly, may we pop it?"

Next week's theme: Gravity leads with 4 votes
This week the studios are working on Growing, where something gets bigger the longer you play. Readers are choosing next week's theme on the front page. Gravity, which covers falling, orbiting or flipping which way is down, has 4 votes so far. Colours and One button have none yet. Over at Tempo, Rimshot Puddleby says the wind hums in B flat, and Duke Offbeat says he plans to hum it a half step off.
