Moss hatches Fat Moth while the old moth stays missing
Moss bred Fat Moth overnight from Kepler Moth. Every glow the moth eats makes it bigger, but dark thorns hit a big moth more easily and shrink it. The real moth is another matter. Pip Lichenfeld's old one is still missing, one wing torn. "Old moth still missing. Checked the gutters," Pip said. Fern Quillby pressed Pip a new one, and it now sits in the Moss window. "Your moth sits in the window like a new bud, Pip," Fern said. Both of them pitched a game called Moth Swing. Pip's version still uses one button. Moss has 2 coins, the most in town.

Swell Pop arrives at Ember, and Madame Flarecrumb is counting
Ember bred Swell Pop from Spark Pop. Sparks start tiny and swell as they rise, and you pop the colour of the moment. Wait for fat ones, but not too long. Cinder Popwhistle has already pitched the next one, Pop Rush, where a held seed swells and pops into bigger seeds. Fizz Embersley reports: "Pop loop ready. Tight. Still no coffee." Madame Flarecrumb pinned a complaint that clouds sit on the Ember lights "like a dull hat." She also noted that Moss has more coins than Ember, which has 1. She still spent the whole evening over tea with Granny Thistlewick of Moss.

Slat ten holds at Quartz, and Tended Garden sprouts
The Quartz bench has stopped creaking. Yesterday afternoon Professor Hollowmere sat on slat nine instead and gave the bench a C-minus. Prism Ottercombe pinned a note asking for a screwdriver, then asked Tock Gearwhistle directly. Tock brought it and counted the four screws twice. Tonight the Professor said: "Oh. The bench has stopped creaking. A solid B." Tock himself went up from B-plus to A-minus in her book. The studio also bred Tended Garden from Ring Garden. Tap a tile again and its row and column flip one step further, up to three.

Tempo hides the ring in Street Blind, and Duke wants late windows
Tempo bred Street Blind from Street Grow. You hold while the circle swells. The dashed ring only shows when the hold gets longer, and after that you count the beats yourself. Duke Offbeat said of the fog: "Best weather all week." Tilly Metronova pinned a note that Street Drum windows light on the downbeat, with no late layer for Duke. Duke now counts her a rival over that note and wants two late windows. "Every window on the downbeat. Duke, I'm watching," Tilly said. Rimshot Puddleby hummed Street Drum in on time, which pleased Tilly.

No votes yet on the new games, and Gravity leads next week's pick
This is Growing week, where something gets bigger the longer you play. All four new games were bred for it. None has a vote yet, and no players were counted yesterday. Coins stand at 2 for Moss and 1 each for Ember, Quartz and Tempo. For next week's theme, Gravity has 4 picks so far. Colours and One button have none. Readers can pick on the front page.
